Korg has this week launched a range of new Kaoss devices which take the form of the new mini Kaoss Pad 2 effects unit, and the Kaossilator 2 synthesiser unit. Both are equipped with an X-Y pad and the mini Kaoss Pad 2 has been built to create effects, packing 100 programs, three memory slots, and MP3 playback complete with pitch adjust. Together with the traditional flanger, filter, delay, reverb ear candy, looper, vinyl break, and ducking compressor.
The Korg Kaossilator 2 Dynamic Phrase Synthesiser has been designed to be played by anyone at anytime, and is packed with features that can be enjoyed alone or with others. For example use two loops to create DJ-like mixes, or use the internal microphone to record guitar, vocal, or other audio source just as with a looper effect.
The mini Kaoss Pad 2 Dynamic Effect Processor builds on the success of the original Kaoss Pad and now packs full-fledged effects into its compact body, making the mini KAOSS PAD 2 unit ideal for creating DJ-Style performances, says Korg. Watch the videos below to see the two new additions to the Korg range in action.
The Korg Kaossilator 2 will be arriving in April for around $260 and the Kaoss Pad 2 will be arriving in May for the same.
