We have been hearing rumors about the new Samsung Bixby Speaker for some time and now it looks like there may be a possible name for the device, it may be called Magbee.
Samsung has filed a trademark for the Magbee name in the US and Europe, the name is apparently shorty for Magnetic Beetle, what this has to do with Samsung’s smart speaker remains to be seen.
We are expecting to see the Samsung Smart Speaker before the end of the year, the device is expected to come with Bixby 2.0 which will launch with the Galaxy Note 9 in August.
The trademark filings for the Magbee name apparently go back as far as December 2018, the trademark filing lists the name being used for audio speakers, door locks, LED TVs and more, so it could be that Samsung may have something else planned for the name.
It is possibly that we could see the new Samsung Bixby Speaker at IFA 2018 in September, as soon as we get some more details about the device, we will let you guys know.
