Apple’s newest smartphones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will go on sale tomorrow the 19th of September, and this is expected to be Apple’s biggest smartphone launch today.
The company has already reported record pre-orders of the new iPhone 6 handsets, they managed to sell 4 million units in the first 24hours, and they are expected to sell more iPhone than last year, in the opening weekend.
The iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7 inch display that has a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels, the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5 inch display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Both handsets share similar specifications, apart from the rear camera, both versions have an 8 megapixel camera, but the iPhone 6 Plus model comes with Optical Image Stabilization.
Processing in the new iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 8 handsets comes in the form of a 64-bit Apple A8 processor, there is also an Apple M8 motion coprocessor, and both devices come with a built in fingerprint sensor, plus a front facing FaceTime HD camera.
The new iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 come with the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS, Apple iOS 8 which was released yesterday, prices for the iPhone 6 start at $199 on contract and prices for the iPhone 6 Plus start at $299 on contract.
It will be interesting to see how many iPhone 6 handsets Apple manages to sell over the weekend, both devices will be available in Apple stores from tomorrow
