Not too long ago, Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster claimed that iPhone 5S has reached 100 percent availability across the United States retail stores and all variants were readily available in all store locations surveyed. It turns out that he was right as Apple just updated the iPhone 5S product page that lists the shipping time as 24 hours for all iPhone 5S colors and configurations.
It’s also worth mentioning that the lead times for iPhone 5S improved to 1-3 days last week. All the carrier locked models offered online are shipping under 24 hours, while users who are looking for the SIM-free or T-Mobile version might have to wait for a few days. Currently, the SIM-free version is showing a shipment time of three to five days while T-Mobile variant ships in one to three days.
Since its launch, iPhone 5S experienced huge delays in shipments and was not available readily in all retail locations, especially the gold color option. It seems that all those reports claiming that Apple reduced iPhone 5C orders in favor of iPhone 5S were true after all. And, since the holiday season is near, it’s very important for the Cupertino giant to replenish its stock for customers who want to purchase the forward-thinking iPhone 5S.
Apple has now released a new iPhone SE to replace the iPhone 5S, have a look at out guide on the iPhone 5S vs iPhone SE.
