As we wait for Apple to launch the second generation iPad, or iPad 2, the iPad 2 rumors continue and the latest one is that the iPad 2 will feature a new material for the body in the form of carbon fiber.
According to the guys over at iLounge, Apple will be replacing the aluminum case on the back of the iPad 2 with a carbon fiber case, which does sound quite possible considering the iPhone 2G came with an aluminum case and the 3G featured a plastic case.
iLounge are also reporting that the iPad 2 will also come with NFC capabilities, this is something that we have heard before and that NFC would be built into the iPad 2 and the iPhone 5.
The other thing they are reporting is that Apple may also launch a 7 inch iPad, personally I think this is a lot less likely as Steve Jobs stated in the past that they wouldn’t launch a smaller screened version, although you never know with Apple.
