Apple has released its latest iOS 8 adoption figures, and Apple’s iOS 8 is now on a total of 68 percent of all iOS devices.
This is up from 63 percent in December, and 60 percent in November, so over the holiday period usage of iOS 8 has risen 5 percent.
iOS 7 usage is at around 29 percent, and older versions of Apple’s mobile OS are at around 4 percent. Adoption of Apple’s latest mobile OS was considerably slower than iOS 7 initially, as there were a number of issues with iOS 8 which stopped people updating, although the majority of those issues have now been resolved.
At around the same time last year, adoption of Apple’s iOS 7 was sitting at around 78 percent, so it looks like Apple has some catching up to do to get more users to upgrade to iOS 8.
