Last month, Google released their latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, after which, several manufacturers have revealed the list of devices which will be updated to the new operating system.
If you’re a Huawei user, there’s some good news for you — some bad as well if you’re device is not the list. The company has revealed the list of devices which will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the coming months, and the list is not small.
The Chinese company mentioned that it will update a handful of its devices to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It includes, Huawei P8, Mate 7, Mate S, P8 Youth Edition, P8 Max, the Chinese version of the G8 (Maimang 4), G7 Plus, Huawei G7, Honor 7, Honor 7i, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, Honor X2, Honor 4X, and Play 4C.
The new operating system will come with EMUI on top of the operating system so it’s unlikely that you’ll get the stock Android experience on the devices. As of now, there’s no word on when the company will start rolling out the updates for the above mentioned handsets, but the entire process is expected to start in November, so we can at least expect the newest Mate S and P8 to be among the first batch of devices which will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
We’ll update you as soon as the Chinese company starts the roll out.
