HTC has released some information on its financial results for the first quarter of 2014, the company has released some unaudited financial results for quarter one 2014.
HTC has posted a loss of $62.06 million US dollars, this is a net loss before tax, the company had quarterly revenue of $1.1 billion.
This is the second loss for HTC in the past three quarters, in quarter 4 of 2013, HTC made a net profit of $10.3 million US dollars.
Things could possibly change for HTC next quarter, as the company has just launched its latest flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One M8.
It will be interesting to see how well HTC does in quarter two of 2014, and whether the new HTC One M8 is able to help the company return to profitability.
Early reports have suggested that the demand for the new HTC One is high, although this is just speculation at the moment, and we wont know how the handset is doing until we get some sales figures from HTC>
