It looks like HTC is getting ready to launch the successor to their Butterfly 2 smartphone, the HTC Butterfly 3.
According to a recent report, the HTC Butterfly 3 will be launched in Japan in April and the handset will be available with mobile carrier KDDI.
Enhanced Display and Performance
The current model of the handset comes with a Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The new model could possibly come with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which would provide a sharper and more vibrant display, ideal for media consumption and gaming. This upgrade in resolution is expected to enhance the overall user experience, making it more competitive with other high-end smartphones on the market.
In addition to the improved display, the HTC Butterfly 3 is also expected to come with a faster processor and more RAM than the current model. While the exact specifications are not yet confirmed, it is speculated that the device might feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which would significantly boost its performance. The increase in RAM, possibly up to 3GB or 4GB, would allow for smoother multitasking and better handling of resource-intensive applications.
Design and Color Options
The HTC Butterfly 3 will apparently be available in three colors: white, red, and blue. This variety in color options will cater to different aesthetic preferences, allowing users to choose a device that best suits their style. The design is expected to follow HTC’s tradition of sleek and modern aesthetics, possibly featuring a unibody design with premium materials.
As yet, there are no details on other specifications the new HTC Butterfly 3 may come with. However, it is anticipated that the device will include improvements in other areas such as camera quality, battery life, and software features. The camera could see an upgrade to a higher megapixel count or enhanced low-light performance, making it a more versatile tool for photography enthusiasts. Battery life is another critical aspect, and HTC might equip the Butterfly 3 with a larger battery or more efficient power management features to ensure longer usage times.
The software on the HTC Butterfly 3 is expected to be the latest version of HTC’s Sense UI, built on top of Android. This custom user interface is known for its clean design and useful features, such as BlinkFeed, which aggregates news and social media updates in one place. The new model might also come with additional software enhancements and exclusive features to differentiate it from its predecessor.
As soon as we get more details on the device and some pictures of the handset, we will let you guys know. The anticipation for the HTC Butterfly 3 is building, and it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against other flagship smartphones released in 2015.
