HP has launched a new Android tablet in the US, the HP 8 1401, and whilst there doesn’t seem to be any press release for the device, it is now available to purchase from HP’s website.
The HP 8 1401 comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it features a 7.85 inch IPS display with a resolution pf 1024 x 768 pixels.
Processing comes in the form of an Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex A7 quad core processor and there is also 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage.
Should you need additional storage, the HP 8 1401 comes with a microSD card slot, no details on what capacity microSD cards it supports.
The HP 8 1401 feature front and rear facing cameras, on the front we have a 0.3 megapixel camera, on the back there is a 2 megapixel camera.
This new Android tablet from HP comes with a 3800 mAh battery that will apparently give you up to 7 hours of usage, it also comes with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.
