Google recently released the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean update for its latest Nexus devices, and now Google has released the factory images for these devices, which include the Google Nexus 10, the Google Nexus 4, the Google Nexus 7 and more.
The factory images can be used to restore a device back to the same state it was in when it came out of the box, you can find out more details over at Google Groups.
The source code for 4.2.1 is being pushed into AOSP right now. This is
a minor release on top of 4.2. The build number is JOP40D, the git tag
is android-4.2.1_r1.
4.2.1 uses the same device-specific proprietary files as 4.2.
The factory images for the various devices will follow in the next few days.
