After a lot of speculation and leaked photographs of the new Google Play Gift cards last week, Google has today officially launched their Google Play Gift cards in denominations of $10,$25 and $50.
The Google Play Gift cards will be available in Target, RadioShack and GameStop retail stores throughout the US over the next few weeks, and can even be used to purchase extra levels, add-on packs, and virtual currency within Google Play games.
“Google Play gift cards are perfect for any occasion. You can buy them from your local retail store. Use your gift card to purchase your favorite entertainment on Google Play.”
However Google Play Gift cards cannot be used to purchase Android app subscriptions, magazine subscriptions, or hardware and accessories, says Google. Unfortunately no information on worldwide availability has been released as yet By Google about their Google Play Gift cards, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
