WikiLeaks has asked Google to explain why the gave WikiLeaks emails to the FBI, they have also asked by Google gave other digital data belonging to WikiLeaks to the FBI.
According to WikiLeaks, Google gave the information to the FBI in March of 2012 when Google were served a warrant by the FBI.
WikiLeaks have written a letter to Google’s Eric Schmidt, asking why the information was handed over to the FBI back in 2012, they have also asked why Google did not challenge the government, you can see the letter here.
Google apparently told WikiLeaks about the information that was handed over to the FBI on Christmas Eve 2014.
As yet there has been no official response from Google or Eric Schmidt to the letter from WikiLeaks.
