If you own a Faro Focus 3D Scanner but find it a little limited when trying to capture large 3D models, this ingenious little transported created out of Lego might be just the thing you need.
The FARO Focus 3D Scanner is currently one of the worlds smallest 3D scanners measuring just 24 x 20 x 10 cm in size and is capable of capturing 3D models up to 120 meters away. Whos data it then stores on a SD card for retrieval after the scan. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
The Lego transported not only allows the Faro to scan larger objects but also enables it to scan areas it might have missed during a static scan.
