Dell has unveiled a new notebook in the Inspiron family called the Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition. The notebook gets its name from the silver wave pattern on the lid of the machine that looks like metal. The design is nice looking and most people will probably like the design.
The machine has a 15.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and it is LED backlit. There are a bunch of processor options for the notebook with Core i3, i5, and i7 CPUs. The notebook can be fitted with up to 8GB of RAM with Core i3 and i5 machines at 1066MHz and Core i7 machines getting 1333MHz RAM.
Standard graphics are Intel HD and the machine has ATI HD 5650 GPU as an option with 1GB of RAM. Storage is up to 750GB with 5400rpm and 7200rpm versions available. The standard optical drive is a DVD burner and a DVD burner that can play Blu-ray discs is optional. Power is from a 6-cell battery with an optional 9-cell offered.
