If you are looking to upgrade older lightbulb into more energy-efficient ones, a new LED smart bulb has been unveiled this week by Cree. That they have designed to provide consumers with a combination of simplicity and multi-platform compatibility.
The new Cree LED smart bulb has been create to be fully compatible with the likes of Wink and ZigBee certified hubs and is now available to purchase for just $15 from Home Depot stores.
The connected Cree LED Bulb is available in a 60 watt replacement option, that will deliver 815 lumens of light in a soft white 2700K colour temperature. The Cree smart bulb is rated with a lifetime of around 25,000 hours and is dimmable using a smartphone app. Betty Noonan, Cree chief marketing officer explains :
