Fancy taking your afternoon tea from a beaker? Art. Lebedev Studio has the perfect solution for that and more with their Chemicus service set.
It’s just a concept art, but we’re sure chemistry geeks and fancy ceramic lovers will drool by just looking at laboratory test tubes and beakers repurposed for home and dining uses.
What do we have here, then? A Florence flask for a vase, a retort-like ceramic as teapot, a beaker for a cup (that comes with a saucer), a side-arm round-bottom flask for a kettle, an Erlenmeyer flask as sugar dispenser, and last but not the least, a set of test tubes for spice jars. And before you think you can mix these service set with your laboratory glassware, they are decorated with traditional Gzhel (Russian) patterns, so no worries.
We have high hopes that Lebedev or some other geek would bring this to life, and as early as now, we’re reminding everyone to never drink in the lab.
