More details are streaming out of the Infinity Ward and Activision camps regards their new Call of Duty: Ghosts game after unveiling the new multiplayer features which have received a complete overhaul.
Details are also now coming to light on features included in the new game such as the Odin strike which is a devastating orbiting space station launched missile strike. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
The Odin Strike is triggered after a predetermined kill streak and triggers the missile that kills players and destroys parts of the map change the gameplay instantly, blocking paths and creating new cover. Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin explains a little more:
“Some maps touch on it in a few places here and there,” he said. “Some maps, like Strikezone, get completely devastated.”- “We didn’t want to make the whole world destructible, because then people run around and destroy the map, and then it’s just flat and not very interesting,”-“Some maps have traps you can set, that you can then use as part of your play strategy. So it’s not always about destruction. Destruction isn’t what everything is, from a dynamic maps sense. It’s changing things. It’s moving things.”
The new Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer experience will be unlike that in any previous Call of Duty to date explained Infinity Ward yesterday and will include new players movements such as sliding, leaning around corners, together with character customisation and dynamic maps.
