Being green can be a challenge if you have lots of electronics in your home. The challenge is that many of the items we have in the house like the TV or computer draw power even when you think they are turned off.
The Bugplug is a strange little power minder that uses motion sensing and timer technology to sense when a user is in the room. If the device doesn’t sense anyone in the room, the devices plugged into it are turned off to stop power draw.
When the device senses a person enter the room, the power is turned back on so the devices will be ready. The belly of the Bugplug sports a timer so if you only want an hour of power and then the items plugged in can turn off, that can be set up. The gadget is a mere concept right now, but it is pretty cool, even if it’s a bit creepy.
