Buffalo has unveiled a new external hard disk drive which it has added to its range this week in the form of the Buffalo MiniStation Air which provides users with 1 TB of storage space, that can be accessed wirelessly without the need to carry any cables.
The Buffalo MiniStation Air hard drive has been designed to create its own wireless network and hotspot to which your devices such as tablets and smartphones can then connect directly to. Enabling you to easily upload, download or stream content directly from the hard drive to your device for up to 10 hours on a single charge.
Buffalo has created a companion application for their new Buffalo MiniStation Air which allows you to do this with ease on both Android and iOS devices. However if you would prefer to have slightly faster connectivity to the external HD Buffalo have also provided a handy USB 3.0 interface that can be used for extra speed with those larger files. Matt Dargis, COO, Buffalo Americas explains:
“Today’s consumers are constantly on the go and want to have continuous access to their multimedia files while away from their homes,”-“With a long battery life, compact size, and wireless capabilities, the MiniStation Air makes it easy for anyone to enjoy multimedia entertainment on a long road trip or when traveling for business.”
The Buffalo MiniStation Air will be officially launching in March 2014 and will be priced at $200.
