Back in January, Audi announced they had teamed up with US mobile carrier AT&T to provide 4G LTE in some of their 2014 vehicles.
Now Audi has revealed how much this 4G LTE in their vehicles will cost, the service will cost you on average $16 a month.
“Having the choice of two data plans gives the consumer the opportunity to choose a contract that works best for their lifestyle and allows them to maintain connectivity in the vehicle for an extended period of time,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “The new AT&T data plans with 4G LTE connectivity will allow Audi drivers to enjoy seamless navigation, streaming and high-speed access to the Internet.”
You wont be able to pay for the plans monthly though, Audi will charge you $99 for a 6 month plan and $499 for a 30 month plan.
The $99 plan will get you 5GB of 4G LTE data over a 6 month period and the $499 plan will get you 30GB of data over a 30 month period.
Good news though if you buy a new vehicle from Audi, as you will get 6 months of free 4G LTE on supported vehicles, this will be available on the new Audi A3 sedans.
