The Retina iPad Mini went on sale in the US and UK and other countries earlier today, and now Apple has released a press release for their latest tablet.
In the release Apple mentioned that they are working to get as many as they can in the hands of customers, you can see the statement from Apple below.
“The response to iPad Air has been incredible, and we’re excited for customers to experience the new iPad mini with Retina display,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “We think customers will love both of these thin, light, powerful new iPads, and we’re working hard to get as many as we can in the hands of our customers.”
The Retina iPad Mini went on sale early this morning, and so far supply of the tablet seems to be holding up, as the shipping times are showing exactly the same as they were when the tablet went on sale.
The 16GB and 32GB WiFi only iPad Mini are shipping in 1-3 business days, and the 64GB and 128GB models are shipping in 5-10 business days, all models of the WiFi and Cellular Retina iPad Mini are shipping in 5-10 business days.
It will be interesting to see how supply of the Retina iPad Mini holds up for the rest of the week, and whether Apple can meet demand for the new iPad Mini.
