More details are starting to emerge on the Apple Watch, the latest news is about how much storage Apple’s new smartwatch comes with, the device features 8GB of storage.
All three models of the Apple Watch will come with 8GB of storage built in, although you will only be able to use part of the 8GB.
You will be able to store up to 2GB of music on the Apple Watch and up to 75MB of photos in the photos application. This means that you will be able to play music without your iPhone, Apple mentioned this at their Spring Forward presentation earlier in the week.
The 2GB of music storage on the Apple Watch will allow you to store around 200 songs on the device, so it is not exactly going to be a replacement for the iPod.

When the device is paired with your iPhone you will be able to listen to more music which can be streamed to the smartwatch using Bluetooth.
With regards to the 75MB of photo storage on the device, this will allow you to store a limited amount of photos, although when they are imported to the smartwatch they will be optimized, so the device may let you store around 100 photos.
This leaves close to 6GB of storage that it not accounted for, this will be used for apps and software, Apple may provide more information at release on what the extra storage is used for.
