Apple stopped selling their iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 handsets in Germany back in January after a court ruled that the company has infringed Qualcomm patents. Apple will now resume sales of these two handsets in Germany.
According to a recent report a second lawsuit by Qualcomm was thrown out by the judge in January. Apple will now sell these two handsets with Qualcomm chips inside instead of Intel ones, this allows it to get around the sales ban.
Apple and Qualcomm have been engaged in a legal dispute for a while now and Qualcomm has attempted to block sales of Apple’s iPhones in a number of countries including the US.
As yet there are no details on whether the two companies will be able to come to an agreement, we suspect this could continue for some time.
