Apple has been using data and maps from TomTom for its Apple Maps software on the past and now TomTom has announced that the company has signed a new contract with Apple.
TomTom did not reveal any details on the new deal with Apple, the company has licensed its digital maps to Apple since 2012.
Apple has been working to improve their Apple Maps software since it replaced Google Maps on the iPhone and iPad as the default mapping software.
We also recently heard that Apple had purchased GPS firm Coherent Navigation to provide accurate GPS data, and this is expected to help Apple improve the accuracy of the mapping software.
