Apple recently stopped their free single of the week offering on iTunes, when it was removed there was no explanation from Apple on what had happened.
Now Apple has launched a new Free on iTunes section which offers free downloads of music, and TV shows at no cost.
The new Free On iTunes section offers free TV shows from the likes of MTV, Fox, Animal Planet, SyFy and more, there is also free music from a number of artists including Machine Head, Purity Ring and More.
Apple has not made any sort of official announcement about this new section on iTunes, we presume the company will be using this to replace their previous free single of the week promotion.
