APlus Mobile has this month launched Virtulator a computer high definition music production tool that has been designed dot provide users with a multi-effects box, daw, mixer, digital recorder and more.
Virtulators uses Open Source Software which reduces cost, allows unlimited user modifications as well as providing community support and the source code is open and available for Virtulator users to custom to their needs.
Watch the video below to learn more about the design of Virtulator. Its creators explain more about the technical specifications of their creation :
“Why hasn’t anyone created a complete, computer based music tool? Turns out, there are a few reasons.
1. The Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) from a computer’s sound card is so poor that outboard interfaces are required to achieve the sound quality that is necessary
2. Latency is so high on computer based effects that what is coming out of the speakers is different than what you are playing. It doesn’t sync up.
The Virtulator family of products has SNR at over 100dB and latency down to less than 6 milliseconds.”
The Virtulator project is currently over on the Kickstarter so if you think Virtulator is something you could benefit from, make a pledge from $499 and help Virtulator become a reality.
