Aiptek has added another pocket video projector to their range with the launch of the Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 Pocket Projector. Although this new model has some interesting features over previous pocket projectors we have seen.
The Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 Pocket Projector weighs just 250 grams and it measures 125mm by 62mm by 24 mm, it features a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery which will give you around 120 minutes of video playback.
Display and Recording Capabilities
As well as being able to display an image up to 65 inches at a distance of two meters, the Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 Pocket Projector can also record video in HD and a 720p resolution with the built-in camera. This makes it a versatile device not only for projecting content but also for capturing moments on the go. The eight-megapixel sensor ensures that still photos are of high quality, making it a handy tool for both presentations and personal use.
Storage and Connectivity
The Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 Pocket Projector comes with 2GB of storage built-in, which is sufficient for storing a few videos and photos. However, for those who need more storage, there is a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB microSD cards. This expandable storage option makes it convenient for users who need to carry a large amount of media with them.
In terms of connectivity, the projector is equipped with a three-in-one AV jack and HDMI out, allowing you to hook it up to your HDTV or other compatible devices. This feature is particularly useful for those who want to share their content on a larger screen without compromising on quality. The HDMI output ensures that the video and audio quality remain high, making it ideal for both professional and personal use.
Additional Features and Considerations
One of the standout features of the Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 is its portability. Weighing just 250 grams and with compact dimensions, it is easy to carry around, making it perfect for business travelers, educators, and anyone who needs a portable projection solution. The built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery provides around 120 minutes of video playback, which is sufficient for most presentations and short movies.
Another noteworthy feature is the device’s ability to function as a standalone media player. With its built-in storage and expandable memory, you can load your media files directly onto the projector and play them without needing an external device. This makes it incredibly convenient for impromptu presentations or movie nights.
Despite its many features, there are some considerations to keep in mind. The brightness and resolution, while adequate for small to medium-sized rooms, may not be sufficient for larger venues or well-lit environments. Additionally, the built-in speaker, while convenient, may not provide the best audio quality for all types of content. Using external speakers via the AV jack or HDMI out can help mitigate this issue.
There are no details as yet on when we are likely to see the Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 Pocket Projector in the stores or how much it will cost. However, given its feature set and the reputation of Aiptek for producing quality portable projectors, it is likely to be a popular choice among consumers looking for a versatile and portable projection solution.
