If you are in the market for a Windows 8.1 mini PC computer that is capable of taking the place of a desktop a new device created by Chinese tablet manufacturer Ainol may be worth more investigation.
The new Ainol mini PC is powered by an Intel Atom Z3735D quad-core processor that is supported by 2GB of RAM and is supplied with 32GB of internal eMMC storage.
Other features of the Windows 8.1 mini PC include a HDMI port, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x USB 3.0 port together with connectivity provided by 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0.
Ainol has also included a handy microSDXC card slot that can be used to increase the internal storage up to 128GB using microSD cards when required.
The details and specifications of the new Ainol Mini PC also mention that the system is equipped with a 7000mAh battery. Suggesting that the mini PC can be used without the need for direct power and can be plugged directly into a display. The documentation also indicates that the battery can be used as a portable charger to help keep your smartphone and mobile devices topped up whilst away from the grid.
Currently the Ainol mini PC is available to purchase in China for around $160 although it hasn’t been announced as yet whether the Windows 8.1 mini PC will be available in other locations around the world in the coming months.
