Apple’s A12 Bionic processor which is in the current iPhones is made by TSMC and now it looks like the Apple A13 processor for the 2019 iPhones will be made by TSMC.
According to a recent report by Digitimes, this years iPhone and iPad A13 Bionic processors will be made exclusively by TSMC.
TSMC will be the exclusive supplier of Apple’s custom-designed chips dubbed the A13 that will power the 2019 series of iPhones. The foundry is scheduled to enter volume production of the chips built using 7nm process technology including an enhanced version with EUV in the second quarter of 2019, according to sources familiar with the matter.
We are expecting three new 2019 iPhones from Apple this year, although the handsets are not expected to be released until some time in September.
