Following in the footsteps of Google’s instant search results. Yahoo has now rolled out its own take on the instant search with Yahoo Search Direct which tackles the feature in a slightly different way to Google.
Yahoo says that their new Search Direct feature is more about finding answers, not links, and will try to provide you with content relevant to your search query and includes a unique design if Google’s constantly changing instant search is not quite for you. Yahoo’s Direct Search currently covers top trending searches queries such as TV, movies, sports, weather, travel, stocks and shopping categories on Yahoo.com, but will spread to Yahoo’s other sections including popular music and local listings.
Yahoo Search Direct is currently available in beta across the U.S. and will be available in other Yahoo products and markets later in the year.
