Wikipad Android Handheld Gaming Console Launches June 11th For $249

If you have been patiently waiting for the launch of the new Wikipad handheld gaming console you will be pleased to learn that Wikipad has confined that the console will be arriving in stores in the US and UK on June 11th and will be priced at $249 or £165.


The Wikpad is fitted with a 7 inch 1280 x 800 resolution display and powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 16GB of onboard storage for games and applications. The Wikipad is also PlayStation Mobile certified allowing you to enjoy 50 or so games designed for the PlayStation range of consoles.

The main tablet section of the Wikipad can be removed from the controller dock that provides physical controls that include dual-analog sticks, gaming buttons, and a D-Pad.

Other features of the Wikipad include a microSD card slot, 2 megapixel front-facing camera and a HDMI connection, all running Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Together with access to the Google Play Store.
