The hardware on the Nokia N900 has always been strong but the ageing software is definitely due for a little overhall. If you have a Nokia N900 and cant wait until the first Nokia MeeGo devices start shipping early next year to upgrade, or have a spare lying around. You will be pleased to know Nokia are releasing a new Firmware 1.3 for the Nokia N900 device that will allow it to dual boot MeeGo and Maemo.
There is also a chance that you will be able to developing applications supporting both operating systems, based on Qt and Qt Mobility APIs on the Maemo side. This means programmers can develop once in PC with Qt Creator, and test their applications on both Maemo and MeeGo, directly on a Nokia N900 mobile.
The PR frmware 1.3 release is expected to drop very soon. We will keep you posted.
