Misfit Shine is a high-tech and rugged fitness tracking device


If you’re the sort of person, who likes to stay active or is trying to lose weight you might want to adopt technology to help you meet your goals. A new device has turned up on indiegogo called the Misfit Shine. This is a high-tech pedometer that can track how much you walk, bike, or swim and keep track of your daily goals.

The device is about the size of a quarter and has multiple mounting options including a bracelet or clothing clip. It’s powered by a coin cell battery good for six months of use. It also has little LEDs around the rim that glow when you touch the device to show how close you are to your daily goal.

The gadget is designed to interface with a smartphone and pairs by placing it on the screen with no need to mess with complicated Bluetooth pairing or Wi-Fi. You can pre-order for delivery by March of 2013 for $79.
