If you’ve been eagerly waiting for the release of Filemaker for the iPad & iPhone your wait is over. FileMaker Go is now available for $19.99 for the iPhone and $39.99 for the iPad from the iTunes App Store and will allow users to connect to databases over the local network, or over the Internet using Wi-Fi or 3G.
FileMaker Go supports many of the features you would expect like Tab controls, Quick Find, Web Viewers, External SQL Data Sources, containers, portals and even most scripts.
In an interview with The Loop, Ryan Rosenberg, vice president of marketing and services for FileMaker, explained that FileMaker Go gives users the ability to view, edit and search for information on existing databases.
The only limitations being that you can’t create a new database on your server with the mobile application.
