However, it now appears that we will have to wait until 2014 to get our hands on the device. This delay has sparked a lot of curiosity and speculation among tech enthusiasts and potential buyers.
ZTE has decided to put the US release of the ZTE Grand S on hold until 2014. This decision seems to be strategic, as ZTE does not intend to release a year-old phone for the US market. Instead, they are likely planning to update the device to ensure it meets the latest technological standards and consumer expectations.
Expected Upgrades for the US Market
ZTE has yet to specify what upgrades the US version of the ZTE Grand S will receive. The original handset featured a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It came with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and was powered by a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Given the rapid advancements in smartphone technology, it is reasonable to expect that the US version will come with significant improvements.
One possible upgrade could be the operating system. Since Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is now considered outdated, the US version might come with a more recent version of Android, such as Android 4.4 KitKat or even Android 5.0 Lollipop.
