Japanese company Zoom well known for creating guitar pedals has this week announced the launch of a new product to their range in the form go the Zoom Q2HD audio-video recorder, which has been created with musicians in mind.
The Zoom Q2HD is capable of capturing H.264 video at either 1080p or 720p, and is equipped with a Mid-Side microphone. Which is a combination of a unidirectional front-facing microphone, together with a bidirectional microphone positioned on the side of the Zoom Q2HD.
The position of the microphones provide the users with the capability to record from a 30 degree to 150 degree stereo field. Mark Menghi, Director of Marketing for Samson Technologies, the U.S. Distributor for Zoom explains:
“With all of the upgrades Zoom made in designing the Q2HD, it makes it easy to record and share content in a wide variety of applications,”-“Whether you’re using it for live musical performances, rehearsals and recitals to journalism, education, sports and travel, the Q2HD is perfect in any setting.”
Other features of the Zoom Q2HD include 24-bit/96 kHz Mid-Side stereo recording, as well as an included 2GB SD Card enough for 40 minutes of HD video. The Zoom Q2HD will be arriving in stores later this month for around $200.
