Xiaomi has this week unveiled a new addition to their range with the launch of the Mi Box set-top box which provides a 4K Ultra HD Android TV box which has been designed and launched for the US market.
The Xiaomi Mi Box is equipped with a ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM together with Mali-450 graphics. Xiaomi has also equipped the system with 8GB of built-in storage together with support for both Dolby Digital Plus and DTS surround sound.
The system is also fitted with a USB port that can be used to expand the on-board storage even further when required, and the system is equipped with both Bluetooth and support for wireless 802.11ac connectivity. As you can see from the image above the system also supports an optional Mi Game Controller that is available to purchase separately and provides a 3-axis G sensor for motion controls an dual vibration motors to add a little extra immersion to your gaming.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Xiaomi, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
