This week Xiaomi have unveiled a new addition to their ever-growing range of set-top boxes with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 Enhanced Edition which comes equipped with a mediaTek MT8693 hexa-core processor with two ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores and PowerVR GX6250 graphics.
Other features of the small set-top box include support from 2GB RAM together with 8GB of internal eMMC 5.0 flash as well as connectivity providing by 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1.
Connection come in the form of 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x HDMI 2.0 output with support for 4K Ultra HD video playback at 60 Hz and support for OpenGL ES 3.1.
The hardware measures just 4 x 4 x 1 inches and its is now available to pre-order for $86 or ¥399 although all the applications and Android interface have been designed for the Chinese market.
