Microsoft announced they will release two update for the Xbox One, one on February 11th while the second one will arrive on March 4th. Unfortunately, the first update was delayed and was expected to hit the consoles this week.
Now, it seems Microsoft rolling out the update for the Xbox One Console. The news comes from Microsoft’s Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson.
All the users may not see the update right away as the updates work a little differently compared to the Xbox 360. The console should begin downloading the update the next time you turn it off “during off-peak hours in your local time.”
Major Nelson explains, “For the vast majority of Xbox One owners who use “Instant On” (the low power state that allows you to instantly power up your console by saying “Xbox On”), the console automatically checks for updates when customers turn it off. This means now that we’ve made the February update available, the next time you turn your console off it will take the update during off-peak hours in your local time. All that to say, never fear you’ll see it sometime over the weekend.”
The update brings some new features on board, including a battery power indicator on your screen that will show you how much power is left in your controller, the ability to use a USB keyboard and the ability to see and manage your storage on the console.
