It looks like we have some more details on the new Xbox One console from Microsoft, including the Xbox One specs, which include an 8 core processor that is based on AMD’s Jaguar design.
The Xbox One specs include 8GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive built in, it looks like the hard drive cannot be swapped, although the Xbox One will also offer support for external storage.
The Xbox One is powered by a customized AMD Jaguar 8 core processor, it will also feature a GPU which is tailored for Direct X 11. graphics and comes with 32MB of high bandwidth embedded ESRAM.
The 8GB of RAM on the Xbox one is DDR3, and it will be capable of supporting full HD video in 1080p and the new 4k video, it will also offer full 7.1 surround sound support.
Other specifications on the Xbox One include a built in Blu-ray player that will also play DVDs, it will come bundled with a new Microsoft Kinect sensor that will feature a 720p capable web camera and also a 250,000 pixel infrared depth sensor.
The Xbox One will come with a couple of USB 3.0 ports, three separate 802.11n WiFi radios, with WiFi Direct, plus HDMI 1.4 output and pass through, the console will not be compatible with existing Xbox 360 games.
Those are the Xbox One specs that Microsoft have revealed so far,the Xbox One will be shown off at E3 in June, and we can expect to hear much more about the Xbox One’s gaming capabilities at E3.
