Workhorse is a company that builds EVs, delivery drones and other stuff for work. The company has a new W-15 electric truck that is good for 80 miles of all-electric driving. The truck also has a gas-powered range extender to let you work all day if your trip is more than 80 miles. The W-15 uses Panasonic 18650 li-ion batteries and has all-wheel drive with front and rear electric motors.
The truck also has an external 7.2 kw power outlet with 30 amps coming directly from the vehicle battery pack. This means you can plug in electric devices and run them off the truck. Those dual electric motors make 460hp and with the range extender the truck can go 310 miles per tank. MPG with range extender is 32 mpg highway and 28 in the city.
The truck can tow 5,000 pounds and has a double cab, standard bed configuration with seating for five people. Workhorse says that the W-15 EV is designed for fleet use. Pricing for the W-15 is unknown at this time.
