The Apple Watch launches today, although you won’t actually be able to buy one in an Apple Store today.
The guys from iFixit have already managed to get their hands on an Apple Watch Sport and have taken the device apart to find out what is inside. Have a look at the photos below.
Inside the Apple Watch, they found Apple’s custom-designed Apple S1 SiP (System in Package) processor. This innovative piece of technology integrates several components into a single module, making the device more compact and efficient. There is also 8GB of built-in storage in the smartwatch, which allows users to store apps, music, and other data directly on the device.
Advanced Display and Connectivity
Also found inside the device is a pressure-sensitive AMOLED touchscreen display. This display technology not only provides vibrant colors and deep blacks but also supports Force Touch, allowing the watch to distinguish between a light tap and a hard press, enabling new interaction possibilities. The device comes with NFC, WiFi, and Bluetooth, ensuring seamless connectivity with other devices and services.
Additionally, the Apple Watch is equipped with a range of sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and heart rate monitor.
