Outdoor Tech Design Lab has this week launched a new Kickstarter campaign to raise $30,000 to take its new Turtle Shell 3.0 waterproof wireless daisy chain speaker into production.
With still 29 days left remaining on the campaign the wireless speaker has already raised over $37,000 thanks to over 230 backers. The rugged wireless speaker can be linked to others to provide a large wireless speaker system wherever you may be.
Check out the promotional video below to learn more about the construction, features and functionality of the Turtle Shell 3.0 which is now available to back via Kickstarter with pledges starting from just $90 for early bird backers. Its creators explain little more about the wireless speakers inspiration and design.
The Turtle Shell 3.0 is our loudest and best sounding speaker ever. It’s a waterproof wireless speaker. It floats and can even be dunked underwater. A built in power bank and the ability to link multiple speakers together for wireless stereo sound makes this the raddest speaker ever.
The evolution of Outdoor Tech® has been shaped by this constant push and pull, to stay connected but not tethered. Our blood boils with design, style and creation. From our magical home in Southern California we aim to create products that serve real needs, for real people that do real things. We don’t define ourselves by the space that confines us, but we do draw from it. Our mission is to bridge the gap between great design and accessories for an active lifestyle by creating Stuff You Probably Want.
Wirelessly connect 2 speakers together using Bluetooth v4.2. It’s really easy. First you pair one speaker with your device (phone, table, computer, etc.) then you pair that speaker with another Turtle Shell 3.0. You can have the first speaker up to 30 feet from your device and the second speaker up to 15 feet from the first speaker!
