The Swedes really like their wagons and that is a good thing for the rest of us. Volvo makes a host of wagons and in Europe; the most popular of those wagons is the Volvo V40. Volvo has refreshed the V40 for the 2017 model year and given it new Thor’s Hammer headlights making it look more like its 90 series siblings.
The exterior update brings five new colors to the V40 and a bunch of the colors are blue. You can now get amazon blue, denim blue, bursting blue, mussel blue, and luminous sand. V40 buyers now get rank marks first seen on the XC90 to differentiate trim levels and variants and eight new wheel styles. The rank marks and wheels are offered on the V40, R-design, and V40 Cross Country models.
Inside the car, new upholstery called City Weave is offered along with a charcoal/blonde steering wheel option. New interior panel trims include Milled Aluminum, Black Grid Aluminum and Stealth Aluminum. CO2 emissions with the D2 manual powertrain have dropped to 89 g/km. Pricing and availability for the refreshed V40 are unannounced at this time. Sadly, the V40 isn’t offered in the US, our range starts with the V60.
