Yesterday we heard a rumor that US mobile carrier Virgin Mobile would be offering a pre-paid version of Apple’s iPhone on their network in the US, and Virgin Mobile has now officially announced that they will carry Apple’s smartphones.
Virgin mobile will be offering Apple’s iPhone 4 and their iPhone 4S, and they will sell the iPhone 4 without the need for a monthly contract for $549 for the 8GB version.
They will also offer the 16GB of the iPhone 4S, which will also be available without a monthly contract for $649, these prices are exactly the same as Apple charges for their unlocked contract free versions of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
