Verizon Wireless has launched a new tablet designed for kids, the Verizon GizmoTab which is designed for children between the ages of three and eight.
The Verizon GizmoTab comes with an 8 inch display with a HD resolution and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor.
“With the addition of the GizmoTab, Verizon has created a portfolio of family products that parents can trust and their children will enjoy for years to come,” said Jeffrey Dietel, vice president, wireless devices, Verizon. “Since the launch of the Verizon Gizmo product line, we spent a lot of time listening to what our customers wanted in a kid’s tablet. Parents told us that they wanted trusted and relevant content that would engage their children and the ability to add their own content. The GizmoTab meets both of those needs. We’ve created a great tablet kids and parents will love.”
The tablet comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, there is also a microSD card slot which takes up to a 128GB card.
The device is also equipped with an 8 megapixel camera on the back which can record Full HD video in 1080p and a 5 megapixel camera up font. The tablet will set you back $79.99 on a two year contract or $249.99 without a contract.
