We have been hearing rumors about the new Motorola Droid Turbo 2 smartphone for a while now and it looks like we will get to see the handset later this month.
Verizon Wireless has announced that it is holding a press event on Tuesday the 27th of October, the company will be announcing its new ‘DROIDs’, which should include the Droid Turbo 2.
We have already heard a number of specifications for the new Droid Turbo 2, the handset is expected to feature a 5.4 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the device will also come with an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.
The handset is rumored to be offered with two storage options, 32GB and 64GB and it will come with dual cameras. The front camera is said to feature a 5 megapixel sensor and the rear camera a 21 megapixel sensor, it is also expected to come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will feature a 3760 mAh battery.
As the invite says ‘DROIDs’ we can expect to see other Motorola Droid handsets at the press event, this may include a new Droid Maxx 2. These new handsets are expected to be variants of the Moto X Force and Moto X Play, we will have more information when they are made official at Verizon’s press event on the 27th, the event takes place at 11am in New York.
