If you are in the market for a new electric powered mode of transport to get you around the city or the last mile commute, a new electric vehicle called Trikelet might be worth a more investigation.
The Trikelet electric vehicle is cable of reaching s0 km/h or 12 mph and offers riders a range of around 15km or 9.3 miles on a full charge. Consuming roughly 1 kWh of electricity per 70 km or 43.5 miles whilst in use.
The Trikelet is an scooter style design and is being marketed as the worlds smallest electric vehicle and uses a unique folding mechanism to fold all the solid parts inside and even collect any dripping water. “The Trikelet is an electrically driven scooter, which can drive you to the station and which can be folded to very small dimensions and taken along in the train. All the soiled parts fold to the inside and dripping water is collected, so that the folded Trikelet can be handled as any clean piece of hand luggage.
It fits in the luggage compartment of the train or under the seat. It can be dragged along like a luggage trolley. So you don′t have to lift it. It is also very handy as a last mile solution for cars or RV′s, or simply to drive through town.”
