You can count on Top Gear to give us a lot of what we want to see and a bit of what we don’t . If you are in the market for a new SUV that also has a bit of performance underfoot, you will appreciate the new video that has been posted by Top Gear. The video sees the Range Rover SVR, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and Cayenne Turbo in a three-way drag race.
All three of the SUVs have a V8 and all of them have big power. The Porsche has the most, by far compared to the Jeep. If you didn’t think that big SUVs could be fast, consider that the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S hit 60mph in 3.9 seconds and ran the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds, stock.
The second place finisher was the Range Rover Sport SVR reaching 60mph in 4.5 seconds and doing the quarter mile in 12.8-seconds. Last was the Jeep SRT, down about 100hp to the Porsche. It hit 60mph in 4.6 seconds and did the quarter mile in 13.2-seconds. That Porsche is very impressive with its turbo V8 and the numbers it throws down sound more like a sports car than a people hauler.
